LIMITED PARTS WARRANTY ON SERIAL 1 PRODUCTS
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary depending on your location.
Serial 1 warrants that during the Warranty Period, the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.
Serial 1 limits the duration and remedies of all implied warranties, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the duration of this express limited warranty. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Serial 1's responsibility for defective goods is limited to repair or replacement as described below in this warranty statement.
1. Who does this Warranty apply to?
Serial 1 Cycle Company, LLC ("we" or "Serial 1"), located at 601 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach FL 33065, USA, extends this limited warranty only to the consumer who originally purchased the Product.
2. Where is this Warranty valid?
This limited warranty is valid for Products purchased and used in the following countries and territories: The contiguous United States of America, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
LIMITED WARRANTY ON SERIAL 1 PRODUCTS
All bikes must be registered with Serial 1 prior to submitting a warranty claim. Registrations require proof of purchase (original receipt or invoice) to validate and obtain warranty coverage.
Serial 1 FRAME WARRANTY
Serial 1 bicycle frames are warranted to be free from manufacture defects in materials and/or workmanship for 60 months for the original owner. This warranty does not include the paint or cosmetic damages from usage.
Serial 1 LIMITED 2 YEAR COMPONENTS WARRANTY
Serial 1’S bicycle components including forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, brakes, cables, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, chain, rims, spokes, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, electronic hubs, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, kickstand and hardware are warranted to be free from manufacture defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 2-year period from the date of original purchase. Electronic components such as display units, controllers, batteries, motors, electronic hubs, and chargers are to be returned to Serial 1 for evaluation prior to repair or replacement. Wear and tear are not covered. Damage from improper removal or re-installing of components, including but not limited to, stripped or cross-threaded damage to bolts, nuts, axels, crank parts or pedals, is not covered under warranty. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, such as rust, moisture damage, wear and tear, weather damage or physical damage such as damage from accidents, dents, paint chips, scratches and does not cover lost or stolen parts and/or hardware. The warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace a product. Warranty will be void on products or assemblies that are modified. Serial 1 LIMITED 2 YEAR BATTERY WARRANTY
Serial 1’S batteries are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 2-year period from the date of original purchase. The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of improper charger, improper maintenance, improper voltage drainage or other such misuse such as failure to recharge the battery, improper installation, physical damage, modification or water damage. This warranty does not cover normal wear such as loss of distance capacity over time due to age and usage.
Serial 1 LIMITED 30 DAY PARTS PURCHASE WARRANTY
Parts supplied by Serial 1 to the owner are warranted to be free from manufacture defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of shipment from Serial 1. Replacement / Spare batteries purchased at any point are warrantied for 2 years from the date of purchase.
Serial 1 LIMITED 30 DAY FULL REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
If within the first 30 days of purchase, Serial 1, at their sole option and expense, will repair or replace any defective Serial 1 bicycle or component upon determining whether the damage, failure, or loss is due to a major defect. Serial 1 will have sole discretion to determine whether the damage, failure or loss is due to a major defect or otherwise. Labor and shipping costs are covered by Serial1 during the initial 30 days of ownership starting from the date of purchase.
30-day claims must be made by the original purchaser by contacting Serial 1 Customer Service Center at support@serial1.com or by calling 844-737-4257 within the 30 day warranty period.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
This warranty only applies to the original registered owner of a Serial 1 bicycle who purchased the bicycle from Serial1, an authorized Serial 1 dealer or retailer. This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of defective parts with a functional new or refurbished equivalent, of equal or greater value at the sole discretion of Serial1. This warranty does not cover any damage or defects resulting from failure to follow instructions in the owner’s manual, acts of God, accidents, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, alterations, modification, improper assembly, improper transportation, improper storage, improper maintenance, operator error, water damage, stunt riding, or failure to perform preventative maintenance outlined listed on the Serial 1 maintenance schedule. This warranty does not include normal wear and tear parts including tires, tubes, brake pads and brake cables, grips, and saddle. This warranty does not cover maintenance, including adjustments that may be needed upon delivery. This warranty does not include coverage for any accessories (fenders, lights, racks) that were not installed by Serial1 or a professional bike shop or dealer. Receipts must be kept for proof of installation by a professional in order to submit a valid warranty claim. Serial 1 will not be liable and/or responsible for any damage, failure or loss caused by any unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts. In no event shall Serial 1 be responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product liability in connection with their products. All work performed by an entity other than Serial 1, must be pre-authorized by Serial 1 to receive warranty coverage on replaced parts.
WARRANTY REMEDY
If your Serial 1 electric bicycle is not working properly because of a defect, you may return to the place of purchase or any authorized Serial 1 dealer for inspection. You may direct your warranty questions to an authorized Serial 1 dealer or Serial 1 Customer Service via email to support@serial1.com, or by calling 844-737-4251. Parts that are verified by Serial 1 to be defective and qualified for warranty replacement will be provided after your warranty claim is processed. With respect to any defective part, during the warranty period, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair or replace the part with a functional equivalent. Serial1 warranty liability should under no circumstances exceed the actual amount paid by the owner for the defective bike or bike component. All inbound shipping costs (to Serial1) and labor for the warranted defective part or repairs at a bike shop or dealer, are the responsibility of the product owner. Prior to any warranty part replacement, your bicycle must be registered with Serial1 Warranty Registration form on our website at serial1.com. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice is required when registering the bike. After the warranty registration, you may submit a Warranty Claim form located on our website. When submitting a warranty claim, we will need the serial number of the bike, a detailed description, pictures, or videos of the problem.
All shipments of defective parts for warranty evaluation should be shipped to Serial1 Cycle Company, 601 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.
This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy and is in lieu of all other remedies, including consequential and incidental damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights that may vary from state to state.
SHIPPING TERMS
All shipping costs are covered for defective part claims made during the initial 30 days from the purchase date for customers in the Continental USA. International customers and customers outside of the Continental USA will be subject to all shipping fees, duties, and taxes (VAT), regardless of location of initial purchase or purchase date. After 30 days of ownership, all shipping charges and all labor costs are the responsibility of all bicycle owners regardless of location, and for shipping components to Serial 1 or an authorized Serial 1 dealer.
Rental or Commercial use Bikes 1-Year Warranty
For rental or commercial use bikes; the Warranty is valid for 1 YEAR from the date of purchase by the bike shop or dealer and applies to the frame, battery, electrical, and mechanical components. This limited 1 year warranty carries the same terms as the overall warranty. Rental or commercial use replacement batteries have a 1 YEAR warranty starting from the purchase date or delivery date, whichever is greater.
RETURN & CANCELLATION POLICY
RETURNS POLICY FOR SERIAL 1 EBICYCLES – US
- Who does this Returns policy apply to?
This returns policy applies only to online purchases of electric bicycles ("eBicycles") by a customer ("you") directly from Serial 1 Cycle Company, LLC ("Serial 1," "we," "us," "ours"), via the Serial1.com website, whether for delivery to a home or an authorized dealer. For eBicycles purchased directly from a dealer or third-party retailer, please contact the dealer or third-party retailer.

- How do you request a Return?
You may submit a request to return an order by visiting our Return Authorization webpage: www.serial1.com/pages/rma-form/. A member of the Serial 1 support team will review your request and reach out to you to assist you through the return process. The applicable process depends on the status of your order:
If your eBicycle has not been shipped from our distribution center, you may cancel your order for a full refund.
If your eBicycle has been shipped but has not yet been delivered, you may cancel your order for a full refund, minus a return shipping charge of $325. Extra Large (XL) bikes carry a fee of $400 due to the increased cost of the oversized box and freight shipment.
If your eBicycle has been delivered (to a home or to dealership, as applicable), we will accept a return of your eBicycle provided that you request the return within fourteen (14) days of delivery and the eBicycle meets the following "Return Criteria":
- The e-bicycle and all of the accesories, manuals, tools, and literature are packed in the original box(es) they arrived in.
- The eBicycle has been ridden no more than 5.0 miles;
- There is no visible damage or wear.
If we approve your return request, you will receive a message with return approval, a return shipping label and instructions. You must ship the eBicycle to us within fourteen (14) days of the return label being issued by Serial 1 or the return may be cancelled.
When we receive your eBicycle at our distribution center, we will inspect the eBicycle to confirm the Return Criteria are indeed met. If the Return Criteria are satisfied, we will notify you that your return has been finalized and will issue a full refund, less the return shipping charge of $325, or $400 for XL bikes.
If we determine, in our sole discretion, that the Return Criteria are not satisfied, we will notify you in writing and provide specific details regarding the unsatisfied Return Criteria. We will notify you if there are any additional fees incurred and reserve the right to adjust the refund accordingly.
